need for biz-journalism

Courtesy of Leigh Patterson, is this report on the need for financial journalism.  Contrary to one prediction that the crisis will harm the market for business journalism, it will harm instead the kind of business journalism masquerading as journalism when it really is Wall Street cheerleading.  Now more than ever investors need understanding.  Unlike the medical and legal world where you turn your affairs over to trusted professionals, the financial world is the only one where, regretably, the consumer must be well educated before turning their affairs over to a pro.
